Over a quarter of a century ago, on 1 July 1996, Ozcare was established by St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland to care for our community.
Rendu Towers’ location is deeply rooted within Newstead’s industrial and urban heritage. This, along with Ozcare’s over 25-year history and Catholic ethos, inspired the selection of a name that not only had genuine meaning but equally reflected the importance of community.
Named after Blessed Rosalie Rendu – referred to as the ‘good mother to all’. Rosalie Rendu was an inspiring and remarkable woman who dedicated her life to helping others and those in need.
Rendu Towers is part of Ozcare’s two-stage multi-use development at Newstead to deliver a continuum of care to retirees by co-locating retirement living with residential aged care and offering home support to village residents at exclusive rates.

The Blessed Rosalie Rendu was the “good mother to all” known for her creativity and courage to help people in need.
Spanning three levels, our state-of-the-art aged care facility offers permanent, respite and secure special care for people living with dementia.
Ozcare is proud to be able to provide certainty for residents of Rendu Towers. If in the future they should need residential aged care, they can enjoy peace of mind knowing that Ozcare can provide continuity of care at Villa Rosalie in familiar surroundings, close to partners, family and friends residing at Rendu Towers.
